Let’s discuss some potential new Samsung Galaxy S9 Edge features in this article. We’ll start with the potential concept features that may hit the market and then move onto some patented features expected to reach new Samsung devices in 2018.
Firstly, the Galaxy S9 Edge may come equipped with an Edge display that wraps around the sides of the device, making for an entirely bezel-less smartphone. New software could be developed to make sure that the smartphone can determine when the display is being tapped and where it is being held by its user.
If this were the case the Samsung Galaxy S9 Edge would have plenty more room for Edge Feeds and Edge Panels. We would also be able to see the Edge Feeds from different angles.
Whether the above feature makes it onto the Galaxy S9 Edge or not, the S9 Edge will certainly come equipped with a wide range of new Edge software features. The Galax S9 Edge should also come equipped with an iris scanner which will be able to determine whether the user is looking at the device or not. The iris scanner can also be used as a lock screen method – the owner simply has to look into the front facing camera to unlock the device.
The Galaxy S9 Edge may also have a slight design overhaul – the device may be more rounded or Samsung may even go as far as developing a secondary display for the back of the Galaxy S9 Edge. We’re not sure what Samsung has in store for us but there’s no denying that the March 2018 reveal event is going to be very exciting.
We’ll be releasing regular content to provide Galaxy S9 fans with more information about the device as it’s revealed. Whether it’s from leaks, speculation or official press releases, we’ll be covering it.
