India has quickly become one of the largest markets for smartphones and with a population just under 1.5 billon; it’s very easy to figure out why. All of the top smartphone manufacturers realized this years ago and started to concentrate on the world’s 2nd largest market including Samsung. With all the hype surrounding the 2018 launch of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Edge, we’ve uncovered new information that suggests when and how much both S9 flagships will set you back.
The India launch of the Galaxy S9 is expected to come shortly after the annual CES event which will be held in January-February of 2018. If the latest leaks hold true, consumers throughout India including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and all other territories can expect to see both GS9 models around the 3rd week in March.
Preorder Info and Cell Carrier Prices
All of the top carriers in India including Airtel, Reliance, Vodafone, and BSNL, will feature the launch of both variants. We’re expecting the launch price to come in around just over Rs. 50000 for the Galaxy S9 and around Rs. 57000. While this is yet to be confirmed, it’s the latest speculation coming out of India and is pretty consistent with Galaxy S9 release date rumors worldwide.
The latest word is pretty consistent with the launch in other larger markets around the world. In the US and UK, we’re already hearing preorders will start before the end of February with the official release through Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile around mid-March.
Despite the fact there’s still plenty of time left before the official unveiling, we’re hearing numerous upgrades are in-store for both versions of the Galaxy S9. Below are the latest rumors on the specs for both the S9 and S9 Edge:
